For more than 25 years, I have been referring patients to Michael from my practice in Melbourne’s Central Business District and he has been helping them identify their strengths and heal their wounds. Even when fully back on track, many would choose to continue seeing Michael, as he’d helped coach them to higher levels in other areas of life and in their professional endeavours.
Michael demonstrates insight, versatility and empathy in every engagement and it is these qualities that Michael will bring to this position. He knows how to bring out the best in people and in all of Michael’s leadership roles, he has left the organisation in an improved state.

“I am delighted to be able to endorse Michael Burge OAM for Councillor of Gardiner Ward Boroondara. I have known Michael for a number of years and have worked with him on community endeavours and observed first hand his integrity, ability, strength of character, diligence and sensitivity to respond and realize the needs of the community that he represents.
Michael draws on his experience as a leader in the field of psychology, the boardroom, lecturing, the law, business owner, media presentations and understanding of politics and appreciation of complex social issues; in order to be a Councillor for the community he represents.
Michael has the dedication and leadership skills to overcome challenges on behalf of his constituency.
He has devoted thousands of voluntary hours and many years, for numerous community and professional wellbeing projects; and in the Australia day Honours was awarded the Order of Australia Medal. Michael Burge will provide a new vision for the voice of the people of Gardiner Ward Boroondara. “
